Lazy Day Policies

At Lazy Day Campground, our goal is to provide a peaceful, safe, and family-friendly camping experience for all guests. To help maintain a welcoming environment, we ask that all campers and their visitors follow the campground policies during their stay.

These simple guidelines help keep the campground clean, quiet, and enjoyable for everyone. Failure to follow campground policies may result in removal from the property without refund.

General Rules

Please respect fellow campers, campground staff, and neighboring sites at all times.
Management reserves the right to ask guests to leave for violations of campground policies without refund.
Rates, policies, and amenities may change without notice.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM daily (until 7:00 PM Friday, 5:00 PM Sunday)
Check-out: 11:00 AM sharp

Optional services:

Early check-in: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($10 if site is available)
Late check-out: Until 4:00 PM ($25 if site is available)

Quiet Hours

Please keep noise levels low during evening and overnight hours.
Respect neighboring campers and families enjoying the campground.

Campsite Rules

Keep your campsite clean and organized.
One RV or one tent per site unless approved by management.
Maximum 6 people per site (2 adults and up to 4 children included in the standard rate).
Dispose of trash in designated dumpsters.

Vehicles & Parking

One vehicle is included per site.
Additional vehicles may require an additional fee.
Please drive slowly and watch for children throughout the campground.

Visitors

Visitors must follow all campground policies.
Additional guests may require an additional nightly fee.

Pets

Pets are welcome but must be leashed and supervised at all times.
Please clean up after your pets.
Aggressive or disruptive animals may be asked to leave the campground.

Campfires

Fires must be kept within designated fire rings only.
Never leave fires unattended.
Extinguish fires completely before leaving your site or going to sleep.

Safety

Follow all posted campground signs and staff instructions.
Respect campground property and natural surroundings.
Fireworks and illegal activities are not permitted.

Reservations & Cancellations

Reservations require a $5 non-refundable registration fee.
Cancellations follow the policy outlined during booking.
No refunds for no-shows or late cancellations.

Directions & Arrival

If GPS does not locate the campground, use Highway J or coordinates 38.895604, -91.559624.
From I-70 Exit 170, travel south on Highway J for 1.5 miles.

Protecting Our Forests

Firewood Policy

Due to the prevalence of wood-boring insects in the area, we ask that campers do not bring their own firewood to the park, please keep it at home. Firewood can be purchased at the office for a very fair price and is delivered to your site. Please remember that you are camping on private property, not in a forest. Our trees are precious to us and our future. Do not strip bark or cut up any tree, living or dead. You may scavenge and collect dead sticks on the ground only for kindling.
